Wartrol Common and Plantar Wart Remover

Back a few years ago, I had a plantar wart on my foot. It stayed there for the best of 7 years. It affected me when I used to go swimming or on holidays or even to try out shoes – anything that involved bare feet!

I eventually got it removed using a homeopathic medicine my mum recommended to me (she was studying homeopathy at the time). I was her test case, if you like. I had tried quite a number of treatments (Liquid and Freeze Off, Dr. Scholl’s Clear Away Plantar, Duo Film Wart Remover you name it…), including taking a scalpel to my foot (wouldn’t recommend you do this at all). I was very surprised that a homeopathic medicine got rid of my 7 year wart and none of the traditional medicine helped in any way. Why did I tell you that story? Don’t knock natural or homeopathic medicine, keep an open mind! It works!

Wartrol is a homeopathic remedy that has been clinically proven and uses FDA approved ingredients for treating common and plantar warts caused by HPV.

What Kind of Warts Does Wartrol Remove?

The clinical terms are common and plantar warts. But what exactly do those terms mean in plain English.

Common Warts

These warts appear mainly on the hands but generally they can surface anywhere on the body.  On the hands, they tend to localize on the fingers and back of hands. They’re also common on eyelids and around the beard area. In women, they can also appear on the legs where shaving occurs.

Plantar Warts

Plantar warts are benign tumours caused by common viral infections. They generally enter the sole of the foot through cuts and breaks in the skin. ( I got mine through a stone that cut stuck in my shoe!) They don’t surface immediately; they can lie dormant for a few months before they make their presence. They can be very painful when you walk. They can also spread to other people – so use flip flops or shower booties so that your loved ones don’t end up with one too.

How Does Wartrol Work?

Wartrol comes in liquid form with an applicator. It contains 17% Salyclic Acid – this is the ingredient that removes warts. Additionally to this Wartrol also contains healing essential natural oils that make the product safe to use and destroys the wart virus eliminating the wart from within the skin.

You start off by washing the affected skin, ideally let it soak for about 5 mins in warm water. Dry it well and gently.

Apply a small amount of Wartrol using the applicator onto the wart and let it dissolve into the skin allowing it to dry. Use the solution once to twice daily as needed or until the wart is removed.  Follow the products directions to avoid damaging good tissue.

Using any treatment – you will need to be persistant and apply it regularly for a few weeks before you see complete healment.

If left untreated – a wart can take anywhere between 4-5 months to heal. Or in my case, 7 years! I would recommend you leave it untreated.

Wartrol Consumer Reviews

Following the directions on the bottle for a couple weeks I got no results. What I found did work was spraying a cotton ball until it was wet and placing it over the wart and holding it in place with a band-aid. I placed a new cotton ball on the wart once in the morning and once in the evening and kept it on all the time. After a couple days the wart started to go away. Using this method, I did go through the Wortrol very quickly – I went through about a bottle every two weeks – but it was certainly worth it.

Ok, let me just say straight away that I didn’t try this on genital warts; therefore, I can’t attest to if it works for those types of warts or not (though that is what the label says it’s for.) However, I had read the ingredients in this was good for other types of warts, and for me, it worked. I had a stubbon common wart on my elbow that was frozen off, came back; chemically removed, came back; frozen off again, came back…and so on. I finally got fed up and read about alternatives. So, even though this product says it was for genital warts, I purchased it anyway for the ingredients. It worked! It took the whole bottle (ingesting two sprays daily, along with applying twice daily) but it worked. So, for me this is a thumb’s-up. It’s expensive, but for me, it was worth it! Next summer, no trying to hide my elbow. Yay!

How Effective Is Wartrol?

Wartrol is an effective common and plant wart removal. It is a little pricier than most other over the counter medicines but if you’ve already tried them and they failed to produce results, I would recommend you try this natural alternative. Wartrol does work when used correctly. It is not however a genital wart remover and is to be used externally only.
